My grandma and grandpa lived together for 56 years. Today their house is empty, only traces of them in the interiors remain. Things still lie where they were left. Now they are motionless hosts of the space. Objects from the life of my grandparents simultaneously exist as a continuation of their life and as monuments of time. For me, the material traces of the dead are like portraits. They are different, but they complement each other, just as my grandpa Tolya and my grandmother Masha themselves.

Photographing objects I try to throw off the utilitarian perception of them and again give them a symbolic and ritual dimension. Indicating the value of these simple domestic things I kind of touching my grandparents and time itself.
